Aran was bored. He could socialise but... it was not desirous to him to do so. He wanted to hunt, yet he had no need to hunt, nor did he know what wildlife was in this area. Slowly he sat down at his desk, Duncan coming to rest his head on his lap drooling faintly. Absently he reached down and stroked the coonhounds head. Maybe he should visit one of the towns... New York had been problematic in the past. More so then Boston. Maybe he should visit New York. Order his carriage brought around to the front. It was just a ride down the river after all.
He may need a guard, just in case of native attacks, but otherwise. It brought another matter to his mind. His need for a captain and a crew... he might visit waterfront at New York, see if he could spy a likely vessel, a likely captain. He would need a good reason however to allow his guard to stand down... or maybe not. He was certain they would not complain at being allowed to visit taverns along the waterfront, they could find a woman. Maybe he could find some way of satisfying certain other urges. He didn't feel guilty about sating his needs this time round.
It was... odd. But not something he was going to muse about. Standing to his feet he walked to the doors of his study summoning his butler and promptly dismissing him to prepare the carriage and notify a guard was to be prepared to escort his carriage. Yes. Maybe visiting the town would do him good. He could even check how the fortifications were going, how much more of the forts needed to be repaired.
